Welcome. I’m thrilled you’re here
I don't write because I possess all the answers. I write to discover, to make order from entropy. As Anne Lamott notes, the act of writing itself holds intrinsic value. It forces me to clarify thoughts, wrestle with ideas, and ultimately, learn.
One theme that continually captures my attention is disruptive innovation. My years at Google in a product incubation product management team in the Global Business Organization were spent bringing such products to market, navigating technical hurdles and collaborating across global teams. To me, successfully guiding a disruptive technology to widespread adoption is the ultimate challenge.
Sadly, most "innovations" today are merely incremental improvements. True disruptions — the internet, the iPhone, 3D printing — fundamentally alter our reality, even if their full impact takes decades to unfold.
Symbiotic Future
I want a future where technology amplifies our humanity rather than diminishes it. A future where the boundaries between humans and machines blur, leading to a healthier, more fulfilling society. Cyborgs and androids.
This may sound like science fiction, but the groundwork is already being laid today from generative AI to wearables to web 3.0. Blockchain, for instance, promises a more transparent and equitable financial system. Cryptocurrencies are just the beginning. Remember, the internet and the iPhone were once dismissed as fads.
Amara's Law reminds us that we tend to overestimate technology's short-term impact and underestimate its long-term potential. This is why I remain optimistic about technologies like AI and blockchain, despite the hype and volatility.
Areas of Interest
Solving Tough Infrastructure Problems: Real innovation often means tackling the unglamorous, complex challenges. I'm excited by the prospect of optimizing blockchain payment rails, designing user-friendly AI interfaces, or leveraging multi-sig wallets for innovative commerce solutions.
Making Business More Human(e): In an increasingly automated world, preserving our humanity in business is crucial. This means infusing empathy, creativity, and connection into every customer interaction.
